Over the course of a month, I created this motion graphics animation for the song Overture III / Awake by Sleeping at Last. It's a calm and slow song and I wanted to play into that feeling with my animation, which lead me to use a calm color scheme and focus on a still scene that had more subtle movement in the background. To make a stronger connection to the song, I created smaller graphics and animations that come in to match the song lyrics. A big part of this song is the changes in the time of day, which I played into by animating the position of the song and the colors of the sky.
